I’m a doctoral student in history at the University of New Mexico. My historical interests are keenest in the mythical aspects of the American West; why and how the West has contributed so much to America’s national psyche. I also enjoy environmental history, film history, World War II, and the history of postwar Britain. Other interests include music (whatever pushed the boundaries of its time I tend to find appealing), cycling, nature/hiking, disc golf, Dodger baseball, dogs, literature, art, Tiki culture, gin, absinthe, and good filmmaking.
